Meet The Adirondack Corgi
Located in Upstate New York, The Adirondack Corgi was built on a passion for doing things differently - and doing them right.
What started with a love for the breed quickly grew into a purpose-driven program focused on health, temperament, and responsible breeding practices.
We believe that every puppy deserves a strong start, and every family deserves a breeder they can trust. From carefully selecting our breeding dogs to raising puppies in a hands-on, enriched environment, we are committed to quality over quantity in everything we do.
Our program continues to evolve with the goal of not only preserving the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, but also developing our American Corgi program with transparency, structure, and accountability.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a well-established, purebred herding breed known for its consistent look, temperament, and predictability. They are typically outgoing, affectionate, and highly people-focused, making them a great fit for families looking for a loyal, social companion. Pembrokes are energetic and intelligent, with traits that have been refined over generations through careful, selective breeding.
American Corgi
The American Corgi is an intentional cross between the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, thoughtfully bred to combine the best qualities of both breeds into one well-rounded companion. This pairing allows for greater variety in color, pattern, and features such as tails, while still maintaining the intelligence, loyalty, and herding instincts corgis are loved for.

Health & Genetic Responsibility
Health is the foundation of everything we do. All of our breeding dogs are genetically tested through Embark and screened for common breed-related conditions, including DM, EIC, and VWD1.
We use this information to make informed pairing decisions, ensuring that our puppies are set up for the healthiest lives possible.
Beyond testing, we carefully evaluate structure, pedigree, and overall compatibility to maintain and improve the quality of each generation.

How Our Puppies Are Raised
Raised With Purpose
At The Adirondack Corgi, every puppy is raised with intention, structure, and an overwhelming amount of love. From the moment they are born, they are handled daily and closely monitored to ensure they are thriving physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our puppies are raised right in our home-not in kennels-where they are exposed to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences. This early exposure helps create confident, adaptable companions that transition seamlessly into their new families.
We focus heavily on early neurological stimulation, socialization, and age-appropriate enrichment to help each puppy reach their full potential. Every step of the way, we are setting the foundation for a well-rounded, stable, and loving companion.
Early Developement
Puppies are handled daily from birth and introduced to gentle stimulation exercises to promote strong neurological development and resilience.
Home-Raised Enviroment
Raised inside our home, our puppies are exposed to normal household activity including sounds, people, and daily routines—creating confident and well-adjusted temperaments.
Socialization & Temperment
We prioritize early socialization through exposure to new textures, environments, and safe interactions, helping shape confident, friendly, and adaptable personalities.
Enrichment & Learning
Age-appropriate enrichment activities are introduced to encourage problem-solving, curiosity, and confidence as puppies grow.
Health & Care
Each puppy receives attentive care, including routine health monitoring, proper nutrition, and veterinary support to ensure they get the best start in life.
